Filipino Martial Arts - An Introduction and Overview

This workshop will cover an introduction and overview of several training methods from Filipino Martial Arts (FMA). These arts, (commonly referred to as Escrima, Arnis, or Kali) focus on weapon work and partner flow. This workshop will focus on double and single stick techniques while discussing history and culture.
We will cover several progressive partner drills and discuss the arts applicability across multiple weapon platforms. Dress in comfortable clothing with no buttons or zippers. All gear will be provided.
About the instructor: Adam Rector is an Associate Instructor in Martial Concepts Kali under Dr. Jason Winkle and has trained various Southeast Asian Martial Arts with prominent figures in the international community including Guro Dan Inosanto and Cikgu Maul Mornie.
